Sun 28th March 2010: Showing Seminar
To be held at Marlyn Pollard's Cranleigh Stud at Rackenford, Tiverton, Devon.

There will probably not be catering facilities available on site so please take your own packed lunch and chairs if needed.

The formal activities are expected to commence at 10:00.

Directions from Tiverton:
Follow A361 from North of Tiverton, at round-about with A396, in North-Westerly direction towards South Molton.
After 6.5 miles turn left on minor road at Two Gates Cross and then immediately right into Little Rackenford Lane.
After half a mile bear right at junction into Old Bell Hill. After a further quarter mile turn right at cross roads and proceed into Titham Hill. The road turns to the left and then passes Rackenford Manor.
After another quarter mile, take left-hand fork towards Creacombe.
The lane to Heiffers Farm leads off on the left after another quarter mile.

Alternatively, look at www.multimap.com to see a map of the locality of Heiffers Farm.
Select the Find a Map function in the top left hand corner of the window and enter "EX16 8EW" as the Post Code.
Then click on FIND and adjust the scale of the displayed map to give you the desired level of detail.


Sun 8 March 2009 : Showing & Stewarding Seminar
To be held at The Heywood Equestrian Centre, Church Road, Heywood, Westbury, Wiltshire BA13 4LP.

Anyone interested in bringing their horse or learning about stewarding should contact Felicity Harper as soon as possible. This could be a valuable opportunity for those new to showing as well as those with more experience but wanting to learn more than can be gained from observation as a spectator/exhibitor.

Tickets are available from Felicity Harper at a cost of £12 for members of either Wessex or South West Regional Groups and £15 for non-members. Please make cheques payable to Wessex AHG and enclose a SAE for return of tickets and map of the venue.


Sun 12 March 2006 : Pleasure Ride
To be held near Andover, Hampshire, departing at 11:00 from the Cross Keys public house, Upper Chute.

The ride will last for approximately 2 - 2 1/2 hours, along a few quiet country lanes but mainly on bridleways, returning to the start point, where food and drink will be available for those who would like to purchase.

If the weather is kind then this should be a wonderful ride through the peaceful Wiltshire contryside.

The ride is being organised by Laurell Humphreys. She can be contacted on 01264-790755 (evenings only) to answer any questions.

For those attending: don't forget to wear a hard hat and please make sure that your horse is adequately shod.


Sun 21st September 2003: Wessex Group Stud Visit
A visit to Marlyn Pollard's Cranleigh Stud at Tiverton, Devon.

This stud visit is no longer restricted to just the Wessex Regional Group. It has become an open day for any interested parties to attend and hence there will be no charge or tickets required. There will be catering facilities available on site but those wishing to make their own arrangements may do so.

The formal activities are not expected to commence before 13:30.
